LEAVE ME ALONE WITH THE CHICKS I
Performance Art and Videoart by Julius Kaiser and Kyrahm

Watching live animals on stage is a fascinating experience for a spectator because the spectator is faced with the incursion of reality in the imaginary, of the unpredictable, but most of all of “nature in culture” (Giada Lusardi)

If in the Naturalistic Theatres the presence of live animals in a scene contributed to the reality of the work, in this case the animals are the sole actors in the play.
The chick observes the surroundings but does he really take in the solitude of being alone and then calms down when the other chicks arrive until finally comfortable, sleep descends?

All the chicks present were treated respecting animal rights.

LEAVE ME ALONE WITH THE CHICKS II
Performance Art and Videoart by Julius Kaiser and Kyrahm

I was born. Me.
I’m alive!

When does awareness start?

“The activity of the I is that of an infinite striving” (Fichte)

The fragility of existence which is part of every living being is in striking contrast with today’s technology. In an era where the application of technology to art and performance is often characterized by the self-referential omnipresence of the artist-author, I cannot but remain in humble contemplation.

All the chicks present were treated respecting animal rights.
